Love the skin you're in

I have been wanting to do this post for a very long time. Infact this was what I wanted to do for my first post but I was a little reluctant to do it. I just saw, on youtube that Rhiannon (fashionrocksmysocks) did a video about confidence without makeup and it made me think 'ah I will do the post...' I was not completely worried of what people would say but I was a little nervous of not doing the post justice.

Whilst I was out and about this week, I was talking to a group of people (older than me) and they were talking about how its been really warm this week and one woman turned to me and said 'protect your skin, its too beautiful to ruin'  which got me thinking about how it hasn't always been that way. I tried my best to find previous photos showing what my skin was like for this post but I had no luck at all so you will just have to take my word when I say: my skin has not always been this 'great'... My skin has always been a problem for me due to it being very very sensitive and reacting to pretty much anything. It burns easily, breaks out easily and reacts to anything and everything you could possibly think off.

I used to have lots and lots of spots/break out on every part of my face, neck, chest and back. I also had the odd bit on my stomach and arms. I tried many many many creams, tablets, advice and doctors solutions to calm it down but NOTHING worked. Not even prescribed cream from my doctor. It only got worse. So I took matters into my own hands... I used to have a full fringe, which made my forehead very dry, so grew that out. Threw away all creams I had tried and that had failed to work. Got rid of foundation and any other 'cakey' products that I had in my possesion. At first I was scared what people would say with my skin but doing this was the best thing I ever did. My skin isn't perfect and I still do get break-out every now and then but it is so much better than it has ever been before.

I am now at a point in my life where I do not need makeup to be completely confident and if I go somewhere I do not feel I HAVE to wear makeup. There are times when I do but still I don't own a foundation.

I want to help people who experience the same I do. You do not need to put so much on your face. Covering spots with more oily products and thick makeup wont help. HAVE A BREAK! Give your skin a break and let it breathe. LOVE THE SKIN YOU ARE IN...
