A yummy Spring treat

Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberries, Grapes and Banana
When it's warm and the sun is shining bright it's nice to have a cool desert to finish off your dinner. I don't eat a lot of desert especially in warm weather because it just makes me feel heavy and too full but this is the perfect finish to a nice meal in spring and summer. And the best bit is it is so quick and simple. And you can change it up to your own special way that you would like it.

I chose to keep my desert really simple but you could add your own choice of fruit, maybe even other things like nuts and your own choice of topping from ice cream to just regular cream. It is completely your choice and at least this is healthier than most desert options. Because of the fruit this just makes my body feel so refreshed and healthy and i'm sure it would do the same to you too. And, this is perfect with it being so simple, if you are planning to have a lot of people over for food or something like that. You could make a big bowl of the chopped up fruit and have the toppings around and let the people decide for themselves.

So remember that a desert doesn't always have to be something fatty or time consuming. Sometimes simple is better!

The big test

When you get something like a new phone or new camera the first thing we all want to do is play with it and see what we are able to do with our new gadget. And that's exactly what I did with my new camera. (Here is my post about the camera itself) Now I ran into a small problem (not really a problem but still) rather quickly and that is... NONE OF MY FAMILY LIKE HAVING PICTURES TAKEN. So I improvised and decided to get a professional poser to be my model for the tester shots. Here are some that I took:

Ginge when he realised the camera was out.
This was the first image I took when I got my camera. You will notice from the pictures that my cat, Ginge, is the biggest animal poser that you will ever EVER come across.

Medium shot and Long shot of him layed on the bed.
Medium shot of just his cute face.

He decided he was getting tired at this point.
And, my favourite of the few test pictures I did is:

MY FAVOURITE...
I wasn't trying to make these pictures the best ever or anything like that. They were just to make sure the quality was good enough for what I payed and to have a little play around with all the features and settings of the camera.

The new love in my life

Sony DSC H200 20MP 26x Zoom Bridge Camera - Black.
So... I have been wanting a new camera for a very long time. At christmas or for my birthday my dad would buy me a digital camera (not every year!) just so I could get used to taking pictures and see if I was liking the whole idea etc. It was always something I asked for and when I was younger the digital ones were perfect for me because it was easy to take anywhere with me. But over the last year or so my biggest wish has been to get a camera like this. I have never had one but have loved them ever since I got chance to use my friends for my gcse media course. I instantly fell in love and I am now very glad that I got my hands on one.

I would just also like to say, this post is not me bragging in any way. I don't see it as something to brag about because the reason for my purchase was this blog. I want to be able to give everyone the best quality images and post content so this camera will be helpful for me doing that. I also wanted to say, although the more you pay I guess the better the camera but this one was one of the cheapest and is perfect for what I shall be using it for. It can also be used for video.

To start with I think it is better to get a cheaper camera as that way you are not wasting money on a larger camera that you wont know how to use and may in the end decide you don't like. This camera was from Argos (the caption is the link to the page where you can purchase it) costing me £99.99 as it was on offer. However the offer ended today and the original price is £119.99 which still isn't too bad and is very good for the things included. This camera does not run wireless and does not need detachable lenses. Perfect for a beginner.

Supplied accessories:
  • Dedicated USB cable
  • Shoulder strap
  • Lens cap
  • Lens cap strap
  • 4 AA batteries

The camera itself also makes it easy, once you have read the hand out, to pick which option for the photo/video you would like and is simple to understand.

The screen on the main section of the camera is also good size with the delete and review button close by to make life a whole lot simpler.

And, once you open the flash using the tiny button at the side of the flash itself, it begins with no need to change any settings.

So, if any beginners are looking for a good start out camera here is my recommendation. Bye Bye IPhone pictures.

My Travel Wishlist

One of my big wishes in life is to be able to travel. To a lot of different places. Here is my travel wishlist so far:

New York

I have wanted to go to New York for as long as I can remember. It is my mums dream too and I would definitely love this to become realty. The atmosphere looks amazing and it is so different to anywhere I could possibly think of in England. There are so many things I would love to visit whilst there and I just think it would be a great experience.
 Australia: Sydney
I would love to be able to walk over Sydney harbour bridge and visit the opera house. I would love to visit Australia with my Grandad. It is somewhere he would love to go and there is not a single person who I think deserves it more than him. One day we will both step onto Australian soil.

California

I don't know what it is specifically that makes me want to go to to California. But there is just something that attracts me to this place. I think it would be a good trip and be really fun.

Belgium - Ypres.

I have been here before, but that was with school so everything was on someone elses schedule. I would love to go back here. The history of the town was incredible and seeing all the old war memorial and war related features was so eye opening and fascinating. All the streets and the town centre was so beautiful and I would love to go back.
